Community of Infinite Colour is a hypothetical organisation (ie. me and a few scattered people around the world who think my ideas are cool), based on a philosophy that holds that no sentient can
ever know the “Ultimate Truth” and that it is up to each person to decide what
makes sense to them and to believe accordingly.
While this philosophy can be thought of as being agnostic, it is often experienced mystically and doesn't preclude an individual member's belief in a higher metaphysical reality.
Its name is not what it is, but a goal of
what it hopes to achieve.
Principles
Community of Infinite Colour promotes “The Principles”,
which find their origin in Western Philosophical and worldwide mystical tradition.
They endevour to be both logically robust, while being spiritually profound.
The Principles are rooted in the observations
of Socrates and Descartes, who observed that the only real certainty for any
being is that there can never be any certainly.
They flow into the understanding that genuine
spiritual experience can never be adequately communicated to another. That
dogma is the abrogation of true connection with the Divine Soul.
They are realised the “Ethical Principle”,
which holds that there is only one genuine moral law and this is to “Act with
Empathy”.
The Principles seek to establish a framework
that anybody in any universe can use as a basis for their personal spiritual
journey.
Beliefs
Members of Community of Infinite Colour are
not required to believe in anything, or accept any dogmas. Rather they are
bound by the realisation that it is foolish for a mortal being of 10, 100, or
even 1000 years to think that they could have any real understanding of an
Infinite universe.
They recognise that all people must make
sense of the world in their own unique way and that if two people claim to have
the same beliefs, they simply have not discussed it in enough detail to
discover where they might differ.
Exploring the Divine is an interrogative,
intellectual, emotional and experiential journey of discovery.
In the words of the Community’s founder, Greg
Kasarik:
“Ultimately
it is up to each of us to make sense of the world and we can only do so by
listening to our hearts, imposing reason on our thoughts and engaging with the
experience of the spiritual journey. Your answers cannot be my answers and if
they seem to be, then we have not discussed in enough detail to discover the
areas in which we must surely differ.
I
aim to promote a community of empathic thinkers, who recognise that
the only truth is that there can never be certainty and who respect the rights
of each person to believe what makes sense to them”.
Or, in the immortal words of Brian, “You've all got to work it out for yourselves”.
Transcendent
Compounds
There are as many ways of “working it out for
yourselves” as there are people. But many hold that experiential connection with
the Divine is the key to their understanding of the Sacred.
Accordingly, many, but not all members of
Community of Infinite Colour use the ancient techniques of both Meditation and the
use of Transcendent Compounds in order to achieve a connection with the Divine.
Transcendent
Compounds are “Entheogens” that allow one to experience the “Divine Within”,
but are also non-toxic, non-addictive and psychologically safe. Their legal status in Victoria is ambiguous as we argue that their use is legal under Freedom of Religion Clauses contained within Section 14 of Victoria’s Charter of
Human Rights and Responsibilities Act 2006.
